Soprano Laura Loge<\/strong> has been hailed for her “luminous stage presence” and “characterful and versatile voice.” Opera roles include Gudrid (Leif Erikson<\/em>), Violetta (La Traviata<\/em>), Musetta (La Boh\u00e8me<\/em>), Mica\u00ebla (Carmen<\/em>), \u00c4nnchen (Der Freisch\u00fctz<\/em>), Lisa (La Sonnambula<\/em>), La F\u00e9e (Cendrillon<\/em>), Lucy (The Telephone<\/em>), Pousette (Manon),<\/em> Guadalena and Ninetta (La Perichole<\/em>), Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus<\/em>), Second Lady (Magic Flute<\/em>), Goddess Diana (Iphig\u00e9nie en Aulide<\/em>), Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica<\/em>) and Miss Silverpeal (The Impresario<\/em>).\u00a0 She has performed as the soprano soloist in Requiems <\/em>by Mozart, Faure, Rutter, Schumann, and Verdi, Beethoven’s\u00a0Ninth Symphony<\/em> and Incidental Music to Egmont<\/em>, Nielsen’s Symphony no. 3,<\/em> Grieg’s\u00a0Songs for Soprano and Orchestra<\/em>, Foran Sydens Kloster,<\/em> and Peer Gynt,<\/em>\u00a0Elfrida Andr\u00e9e’s Sufrage Cantata, <\/em>Schumann’s\u00a0Mass,<\/em>\u00a0and Handel’s\u00a0Messiah.<\/em>\u00a0She has presented innumerable recitals, presentations, workshops, and masterclasses of Nordic art song across the United States and in Norway, including in Edvard Grieg’s villa. She has released two CDs,\u00a0Breaking the Language Barrier<\/em>, and\u00a0Songs & Piano Music of Edvard Grieg, Op. 33 & 66<\/em>. Her third and fourth albums, Der skreg en fugl,<\/em> featuring world premier recordings of songs by Norwegian women, and Musical Migration<\/em>, songs by Norwegian-American immigrants, will be released by in 2026. Laura is the Artistic Director of the Nordic Chamber Music Series in Seattle, Music Series Cooridnator at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, and the President and Founder of the Northwest Edvard Grieg Society.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
