
Soprano Laura Loge has been hailed for her “luminous stage presence” and “characterful and versatile voice.” Opera roles include Gudrid (Leif Erikson), Violetta (La Traviata), Musetta (La Bohème), Micaëla (Carmen), Ännchen (Der Freischütz), Lisa (La Sonnambula), La Fée (Cendrillon), Lucy (The Telephone), Pousette (Manon), Guadalena and Ninetta (La Perichole), Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus), Second Lady (Magic Flute), Goddess Diana (Iphigénie en Aulide), Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica) and Miss Silverpeal (The Impresario). She has performed as the soprano soloist in Requiems by Mozart, Faure, Rutter, Schumann, and Verdi, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Incidental Music to Egmont, Nielsen’s Symphony no. 3, Grieg’s Songs for Soprano and Orchestra, Foran Sydens Kloster, and Peer Gynt, Elfrida Andrée’s Sufrage Cantata, Schumann’s Mass, and Handel’s Messiah. She has presented innumerable recitals, presentations, workshops, and masterclasses of Nordic art song across the United States and in Norway, including in Edvard Grieg’s villa. She has released two CDs, Breaking the Language Barrier, and Songs & Piano Music of Edvard Grieg, Op. 33 & 66. Her third and fourth albums, Der skreg en fugl, featuring world premier recordings of songs by Norwegian women, and Musical Migration, songs by Norwegian-American immigrants, will be released by in 2026. Laura is the Artistic Director of the Nordic Chamber Music Series in Seattle, Music Series Cooridnator at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, and the President and Founder of the Northwest Edvard Grieg Society.
